Single-page WordPress website for a freelance writer.
The visual concept and functionality are based on themes from the author’s forthcoming novel. The client wanted the design to incorporate both art and science (geology) with an organic feel. The custom hand-drawn pattern borders are inspired by strata diagrams. Scrolling down reveals new “pages,” each with a darker background, evoking the idea of drilling into deep layers of material.
